Chicago, Illinois, June 12, 2006 – Mori Seiki USA, an internationally recognized machine tool manufacturer of machining centers and CNC lathes, has relocated its US headquarters to Rolling Meadows, Illinois in the greater Chicagoland area. The new Chicago headquarters will hold national responsibility for sales, applications engineering, service, technical communications, training, marketing, administration and automated systems.
Mori Seiki USAs previous headquarters, located in Irving, Texas, will continue to support its southern customers as one of the companys seven Technical Centers. Technical Centers provide an additional resource of support for customers and provide training for distributors, ensuring the finest and most responsive support structure in a local setting. The American parts center will remain in Dallas, although Mori Seiki also provides parts, local sales, service and training support through its local distributors.
Relocating Mori Seiki USAs headquarters to Chicago was a strategic move for the company, said Thomas R. Dillon, president of Mori Seiki USA. The consolidation of personnel into one facility will allow for additional efficiency of operations, as well as heightened communication and accessibility for our customers.
Mori Seiki Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan and maintains five manufacturing facilities in that country.
