Chicago, Illinois, April 21, 2006 – Mori Seiki will host an Innovation Days event at its Chicago Technical Center on May 10 - 11. During the event, the companys newest and most advanced vertical machining center with DCG® technology, the NV6000 DCG, will make its North American debut. Additionally, Innovation Days attendees will have the opportunity to participate in Real Life Results workshops, and experience presentations detailing Mori Seikis revolutionary machines, as well as recent technological trends in the industry.
Mori Seikis NV6000 DCG encompasses the unrelenting quality, accuracy, safety, and productivity the company is known for. It gives users the ability to contour more accurately and experience significantly less residual vibration than before.
With the NV Series, Mori Seiki considered up time and service ease at every stage of design. The number of parts was minimized, as well as the number of disposable parts. Additionally, by using the latest computer design techniques and dynamic analysis, the machine footprint and weight have been decreased while improving the overall machine rigidity and metal cutting capability.
Making its regional debut at Innovation Days, the NZ-S1500 is Mori Seikis new 2-turret shaft lathe. To increase productivity, the NZ-S1500 employs a symmetrical design in which the two turrets are aligned with the spindle and is mounted on the vertical bed. This layout also serves to reduce the influence of heat and improve accuracy during continuous machining, holding thermal displacement to under ±10 microns.
Mori Seiki will also feature its innovative NT Series at the event. The revolutionary NT Series combines DCG technology and box-in-box construction design from the NH Series horizontal machining centers with the turret with a built-in milling motor found in the NL Series CNC lathes. The result is a marriage of standard-setting milling and turning in one machine, with no compromises in either process.
A wide variety of machines that show the depth of the Mori Seiki lineup will be highlighted at the event. To R.S.V.P. for Innovation Days, please visit digitalmachinetool.com/innovationdays.html or call 847-593-5400.
