NMV Series
The NMV Series combines the best of Mori Seiki’s design innovations to provide unparalleled 5-axis vertical machining of complex parts.
DCG® (Driven at the Center of Gravity) technology and box-in-box construction are paired to increase rigidity and achieve superior accuracy. DCG minimizes vibration by pushing moving structural parts along their centers of gravity. As a result, machining time is reduced and tool life is extended. Box-in-box construction eliminates overhang and balances guideways for stability at high speeds.
DD (Direct Drive) motors are used on both the B and C axes to eliminate gears and backlash. Turning operations are possible with the C-axis rapid traverse rate of 120, 500 or 1,200 rpm.
While the setup of 5-axis machines has traditionally been thought of as a difficult process, the MAPPS III CNC makes it a smooth and simple experience through a real-time interference check function and high-speed canned cycles.
The NMH Series of 5-axis horizontal machining centers excels at producing F1 engine components, aircraft parts, and dies and molds.
To reduce machining time, extend tool life and improve machining accuracy, the NMH Series uses DCG® (Driven at the Center of Gravity) technology. DCG minimizes vibration by pushing moving structural parts along their simulated centers of gravity, leading to higher efficiency, reduced tool wear and improved precision.
With actual measurement values of 0.6” (sec.) on the A-axis and 0.3” (sec.) on the B-axis, the NMH Series achieves the world’s highest level of positioning accuracy. This is possible with DD (Direct Drive) motors, which eliminate backlash and allow high-precision positioning.
